THE YEAR IN REVIEW

2000 (9-2) Expectations soared as the Jags entered the millennium coming off of a surprise playoff season. Although Northwest finished 9-2, it was a disappointing season. In both losses, the Jaguars led with under 1:00 remaining, only to lose in the final moments. In their first loss, the Jaguars led Frederick High School 26-23 with only seconds left on the clock. Frederick scored on a desperation 27 yard touchdown toss, their only completion of the game. Once again, the Jaguars would fall in the first round of the play-offs, this time to Edmondson-Westside. As in their first loss, the Jags lost in the waning moments, 43-37.
